Rolls and roles
Well, folks, I see I've been getting a lot of comments. Just to let you all know...No, I don't have the Rolls Royce I used to tool around New York with back in the 70s. I actually sold it to a Knick fan about three years ago.It was like my wife, when I sold it. I wasn't there when the guy picked it up, I just told him where to pick it up. If I had gone there, there's no way I could have parted with it. It's been a part of my life since 1970, so that's a long time to have a car. I really enjoyed it. It was different, it was part of the New York scene.
I was always out and about, going out. "WCF" was on the plates, it was burgundy and beige. The side was beige, and the top was burgundy, the hood, the trunk, the top, and then I had the gangster white walls on it; I added my little Clyde touch to it as well.
Sometimes I would get overzealous fans try to jump on the car, and I was like "Hey! get off my car," because the Rolls is easy to dent, especially the hood and the doors. People would be clinging to the doors and trying to hop up on the hood. It caused for some anxiety when people tried to do that.
Overall, I had a lot of fun with the car, and people even tell me now they love seeing it as a part of the New York scene. As for your question about Nate Robinson's place on the team, it's a very good one. Nate obviously is behind those guys, and I think if he comes out very aggressive on the defense and minimizes on turnovers, he's going to bring something to the game that those other guys do not bring - relentless play.
He's very strong and very quick, but if he looks to shoot on the perimeter with the three-pointers he's not going to get much playing time. He has to bring his defense and his ability to create off the dribble.
